2024 Season

Location:

3401 Seymour Rd, Sault Ste. Marie, MI; a short half mile from the city limits. When we are open there is a sign at the driveway entrance.

Picking days/times:

Because conditions in the field change each day during the harvest, a decision is made at the end of the day regarding the next day's schedule. That info is posted here each evening, is put into our recorded phone greeting (906-748-2048), and will be posted on Facebook. A typical full day has picking hours from 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Those are often adjusted depending on field conditions and weather; so, its wise to check the social media posting or the phone greeting just before you travel.

Weather:

If lightning is seen or thunder is heard while at the farm, then picking ceases and the farm is closed until weather conditions clear. Please exit the field without delay.

Prices:

U-pick berries, $3.15/lb.

Pre-picked berries, $4.40/lb.

Methods of Payment:

Cash works well. We accept local checks; with "local" defined as drawn on a bank located in the counties of Chippewa, Mackinac, Luce, Alger, Schoolcraft, Emmett, and Cheboygan. The farm is a card-free zone (not accepted).

Containers:

We have gallon-sized picking buckets available. You are welcome to bring your own picking containers as well since we occasionally run short. If you can bring take-home containers, that's good. We often have boxes; but, some days not many.

Companions:

Children (future customers) are always welcome as we like to see families enjoying the harvest together and youngsters getting a sense of where their food actually comes from. We do ask that the adults with them properly supervise their conduct by preventing wasteful picking or damage to bushes or irrigation lines. Our expectation is simple: help them learn to respect the crop, the plants, equipment and other pickers. At this point, yet, dogs that are leashed and docile to all around them are allowed in the field. The slightest disruption or difficulty involving the dog will require that he/she is confined to your vehicle.
